About

Let me take a moment to introduce myself – I’m the Caitlin behind caitlin-marie.com and I’m pleased to welcome you to my own little slice of the web.

Since well before completing the intensive program at The Art Institute of Vancouver, I’ve had a love of the design field. Whether it be the concise design of my favourite magazine’s masthead, the artful arrangement of a directions panel on my morning tea’s packaging, or the utterly unique print treatment that elevates that otherwise standard annual report.

From those humble beginnings simply admiring good design, I’ve since received a varied experience of the industry. Four years were spent contributing to the success of Studiothink, a branding and marketing agency located just outside of Vancouver. Here I spent my time honing my skills and aesthetic, and determining where exactly my passions lay within this dynamic business.

Following my time at Studiothink, I struck off in to the unknown; I arrived in London having never even visited before but with a strong desire to prove myself and further my career in design. Soon I was invited to join Mander Portman Woodward, a private college where I had the opportunity to elevate the design of every piece of material that crossed my desk as their Graphic Designer and Print Manager.

Fast forward to the present, after a stint back in Canada working in marketing and design as the Design and Creative Manager for Steve Nash Fitness World and Sports Club, I’m back in England and hungry for my next challenge. What will that be, you might ask? Well that’s entirely up to you; do I sound like someone you might like to work with? I thought as much!
